To get the absolute best results from GoTones Presets, your signal chain matters. Below is the exact hardware and software we use in the studio to dial in our tones.

Note: We only recommend gear we actually use. Some links below are affiliate links, which help support GoTones at no extra cost to you.

1. The Core: Line 6 Pod Go

All of our presets are built specifically for the Pod Go architecture. It is the best "all-in-one" solution for guitarists who want pro-level Helix tones in a portable format.

2. Monitoring (How to hear your tone)

To hear the presets exactly as we intended, we recommend a Full Range Flat Response (FRFR) speaker or high-quality studio headphones. Unlike a traditional guitar amp, these don't "color" the sound, allowing the preset’s amp and cab models to shine.

KRK Rokit 5 Studio Monitors: These are the monitors we use in the GoTones studio. They provide incredible clarity and just the right amount of punch for dialing in guitar tones.

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro Special Edition: These are our go-to headphones for deep editing. The detail is unmatched, allowing you to hear every nuance of your signal chain. [ View on Amazon ]

3. Connection

USB-B to USB-A Cable: You’ll need a reliable, shielded cable to connect your Pod Go to your computer for loading presets.
